If you haven't see The Goonies, then you haven't seen a movie. The story starts off as Momma Fratelli and her youngest son break the oldest son out of jail. Real bad guys that did a good job escaping. Next a bunch of kids who live on the Goon Docks, five actually, Mikey, Brand, Mouth, Chunk, and Data, find a map to some hidden rich stuff on a pirate ship buried deep within the caverns on their coastline. They scope it out and meet up with Stef and Andi. Two high school girls that skipped out on Brands worst enemy, Troy. Well to get to the caverns, they had to go inside an old restaurant, the Fratellis hideout. They break in, get inside the caves and find the pirate ship with all the treasure, evading the Fratellis, and One Eyed Willie's booty traps, uh....Booby Traps!. The bad guys get ahold of them and take all the treasure they found, but luckily they were able to escaped. They bombed thier way out of the caves to the coast and met up with some cops that called their parents when found. All seemed lost when Troy's father handed Mikey and Brand's father a contract signing over the Goon Docks to them to make a golf course. But it appeared that Mikey had hid a bunch of jewels in his marble bag, and they were able to get back the Goon Docks. If you have seen this movie, you know how great it is. If you haven't, rent it or buy it!
Legend is probably my all-time favorite film. I've watched it ever since my second grade year until now. There would be spurts when I'd come home everyday after school and plug it into the VCR and just watch it over and over again for weeks at a time. I have pretty much memorized the entire dialogue from the movie. I always made it a point to watch this movie with the current girl I was dating. If she didn't like the movie, or hated it, then she wasn't the girl for me. Yet, if she did like it, then maybe we weren't meant to be either. But I'm still lookin' for that one girl still. (Hopefully she likes the movie)
This film has almost every story plot known to man. Love, danger, magic, good vs. evil, pretty girl, everything! If you've seen the movie you know what it's all about. If you haven't...go see it!!! I really don't want to say anything more about the story to ruin it for the people. Yet..I always liked the fact that, Mia Sara from this movie and Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing, (my two favorite actresses, boy are they hot!), both play in another favorite movie of mine, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Cool Huh?
I know that this picture from The Wraith is a really crappy one, but I've searched the net for over an hour for it, and until I can get some real pics scanned it will be up for a while. The story is really simple. A boy in a small town is murdered by a gang of drag racing thugs while he is with his girlfriend. The gang slashed him to death and knocks the girl out before she can see who the culprits are. They wrap her up in a blanket and leave her out in the desert. They take the guy "Jamie" and dump him over a cliff while he's in the trunk of the car. The wierd thing is they never found the body. Well the psycho leader of the gang takes Jamie's girl, she's so scared of him that she can't get away from him. Until a new guy in town on a dirt bike shows up, along with a ghostly guy driving a Turbo Interceptor. (Awesome Car!!!) Well the girl falls for the guy on the bike "Jake". Well while all the love is happenning, the guy in the Turbo drag races the members of the gang and kills them in crashes. Everytime one of guys from the gang die, the ghost man loses a piece of restraint from his neo power ranger-type suit, at least that's the way I took it. They don't explain it in the movie. The Ghost in the Turbo kills the psycho gang leader. What they don't know is that the ghost "Wraith", is really Jake, who in turn is really Jamie reincarnate. Try to work that one out. Well when all the baddies die from the crime they commited, Jamie is free to take his girl back and live together forever. The special effects weren't all that great, but the story was really good. Watch it sometime!
Whoa...Dirty Dancing is a real blast from the past for me. It's a movie that brings back memories from my childhood, and even last summer. A family friend, Tanya and I used to watch it all the time. We even tried to dance to it. It was some of the better experiences of my life. Last summer was very memorable. I had the best time last summer watching this movie and dancing to the soundtrack with a very special girl. It's something I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
Well the movie is about a girl that starts to grow up while her parents can't see it. She falls for a dance instructor at a summer get-away where she and her parents went to for three weeks. Learing to dance and falling in love were probably the best things that happened to her. There are tears, suspence, and laughs. Even with a nosey sister, an annoying boy, a pregnant friend, the jerk who got the friend pregnant, worrying parents, and a country club boss that always on your case, it won't stop Johnny and Baby from being together. At the end eveyone is happy. Making a sequal wouldn't be a great idea in this case. If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend picking it up.
If you're a kid of the 80's, or any kid for that matter who has seen this movie, we can all relate to it. Skipping school is fun, as long as you don't get caught, right? I'm not speaking from personal experience or anything, but those who do, ya know, they really should watch out! You never know where your principal could be.
Well, that's exactly what's going on in this story. Ferris needs a day off before he graduates, and if he gets caught he'll have to spend another year in high school. Well he does pull it off and gets a couple of people involved. His best friend Cameron, and his hot girlfriend Sloan!!(MIA SARA BABY!!!YEAHHH!!!) They all have some good times and some close call experiences in this have to see film. All my friends base their high school lives from this movie, heck, I even have a friend, Matt McPike that resembles Matthew Broderick.
